CBS Sports' Jerry Palm predicts that the Kansas State Wildcats and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish will meet in the Fiesta Bowl in Glendale, Ariz.
Despite the Wildcats beating the Oklahoma State Cowboys this week and the Irish holding off an upset bid by the Pittsburgh Panthers, Palm sees the BCS favorite Alabama Crimson Tide and the No. 3 Oregon Ducks making their way to the national championship game.
Palm believes the Wildcats will still win the Big 12. And with the Fiesta Bowl acting as the top bowl game after the national championship contest, he believes it will select Notre Dame as the at-large pick.
The Ducks hopped over Notre Dame this week to take the third spot in the BCS rankings while Kansas State remains at No. 2.
The state of KSU quarterback Collin Klein is potentially a factor for the Wildcats moving forward. In addition, Oregon's fairly easy victory over Pac-12 foe USC gave the Ducks a jolt in the computer rankings.
