Kansas State finished the season with a big win over Texas on Saturday, earning a bid to the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl on Jan. 4, 2013. The No. 5 Wildcats, led by quarterback and Heisman-hopeful Collin Klein, will be facing No. 4 Oregon in one of the more intriguing of all the bowl games. The Ducks finished with a 48-24 beatdown of Oregon State to end the season No. 1 in the Pac-12 North.
Tulsa earned the Conference USA championship on Saturday with a 33-27 win over UCF, getting the Golden Hurricanes a bid to the AutoZone Liberty Bowl on Dec. 31 at 1:30 p.m. MT. Tulsa will face Iowa State, as the Cyclones finished with a 6-6 record while dropping three of four games to end the season.
Oklahoma State is headed to take on Purdue in the Heart of Dallas Bowl at the Cotton Bowl, in Dallas, Texas. The Cowboys dropped the final two games of the season, losing to No. 13 Oklahoma and Baylor to close out the year.
Meanwhile, in perhaps the biggest game of the bowl season outside of the BCS National Championship, No. 11 Oklahoma will face No. 9 Texas A&M in the AT&T Cotton Bowl at Cowboys Stadium. Led by rookie sensation Johnny Manziel, the Aggies will present a tough test for the Sooners on Jan. 4.
