Big 12 Football Preseason Poll Has Kansas State In 6th Place

The preseason Big 12 poll is out for the upcoming college football season and Kansas State has surprisingly slipped to No. 6 overall, showing a lack of respect even among the region where they should be known. In fact, both of the conference newcomers place higher than Kansas State who finished in the lower half of the competition despite having at one first place vote and finishing last season with a Cotton Bowl appearance.

Kansas State finished last season with a 10-3 record including a 7-2 conference mark and the team returns Collin Klein at quarterback. Kansas, on the other hand, was expected to be the last place team in the Big 12 this season and the vote reflects as much. The Oklahoma Sooners are the preseason favorites to win the Big 12.
