Bill Snyder, head football coach of the Kansas State Wildcats, typically receives the lion's share of attention and credit for the success of the team in 2011 and rightfully so. But it certainly helps to have a well-rounded quarterback who can be a threat to any defense in the country as a passer and running threat. Thus it's not surprising that Snyder had tremendous praise for Collin Klein when given the chance to discuss him at the Big 12 Media Days held this week in Dallas.
"Collin is a wonderful young person," Snyder said. "He has made tremendous improvement during his time in the program. And it's happened because of the quality of person that Collin is. Collin is one of those young guys -- as we were talking about a moment ago, he's one of those young guys truly committed not just lip service to it, he's truly committed to becoming better every single day of his life in all facets of his life, very faith-based young guy and works diligently to improve his plight with the state every day."
The Wildcats went 10-3 last season before losing to Arkansas in the Cotton Bowl, a frustrating end to a magical season that no one saw coming. WIth Klein coming back and a fairly loaded roster, K-State will be a team to watch next season in the Big 12.
