The 2012 season for the Kansas St. Wildcats will kick off Saturday, Sept. 1, as the Wildcats play host to the Missouri St. Bears.

The Wildcats are coming off a successful 10-3 season, which culminated with a Cotton Bowl invitation, where they lost to the Arkansas Razorbacks.

Kansas St. opens the 2012 season ranked in both the AP and USA Today Coaches' Polls. Bill Snyder's team is ranked No. 22 in the AP Poll, and No. 21 in the USA Today Coaches' Poll, respectively.

Missouri St. is coming off of a 2-9 season, and shouldn't pose much of a threat to the Wildcats. Still, Kansas St. represents the biggest name on Missouri State's schedule, and could easily be seen as Missouri State's Super Bowl.

Kickoff is scheduled for 6:10 p.m. CT. The game can be seen online on K-StateHD.tv.
