Missouri State Vs. Kansas State 2012: Final Score And Game Recap

No. 22 Kansas State narrowly missed another disappointing slow start, pulling away late to beat Missouri State 51-9 at Bill Snyder Stadium on Saturday night.

The Wildcats, looking to build on a promising 2011 season, struggled in the first half against the Bears and found themselves tied 9-9 early in the third quarter. Kansas State would score 42 unanswered points, including 35 in the fourth quarter, to pull away for a dominant victory and maintain hope for the remainder of the season.

Kansas State would rush for 324 yards in the game, with John Hubert scoring on a 95-yard run in the fourth quarter and finishing with 152 yards on 12 carries. QB Collin Klein was 19-of-28 for 169 yards and two touchdowns in a workman-like performance.

Braden Wilson and Daniel Sams would add touchdown runs of their own, with Tramaine Thompson returning a punt 89 yards for a touchdown to complete the fourth quarter scoring surge.
