When season 17 of "The Bachelor" begins, Kansas State Wildcats fans may want to tune in as Sean Lowe, a former linebacker and tight end for the football team, will serve as the show's lead.
In the reality TV show, 25-30 women vie to be the romantic interest of one bachelor and are eliminated on a weekly basis. Lowe is not new to the show or reality television, as he finished in third place in season eight of a spinoff of the show, "The Bachelorette."
Lowe played football for K-State from 2003 to 2005, but saw time in only four games, all in 2003. He never made the stat sheet during his time with the team and switched during his time there between the tight end and linebacker positions.
Season 17 of the show, featuring the 6'3, 230-pound K-State alum, isn't slated to begin until January of 2013 and can be seen on ABC.
