Both teams face their first tough non-conference test this weekend when Kansas State hosts the Miami Hurricanes at Bill Snyder Family Stadium on Saturday.

The Wildcats welcome the ACC's Hurricanes to Manhattan after last week's 51-9 drubbing of the FCS-level Missouri State Bears. Kansas State will be looking for a much better start, however. Midway through the third quarter, the game was tied 9-9. While KSU did score six touchdowns over the next 22 minutes for the blowout win, such a slow start could spell trouble against a Miami team that scored 41 points last week.

Miami is coming off a 41-32 win over Boston College as it opened its season in conference play. Freshman running back Duke Johnson made his debut with 135 yards and two touchdowns for the Hurricanes.

Despite the victory, the Hurricanes did surrender 537 yards of offense to Boston College. Collin Klein and company could be able to increase last week's offensive totals. While Klein passed for 169 yards and rushed for 54 more, John Hubert also ran for 152 yards. Miami will have to reckon with a KSU offense that totaled 324 rushing yards last week.
