The Kansas St. Wildcats moved up one spot to No. 21 in the AP college football rankings released Tuesday, following a 51-9 drubbing of Missouri State this past weekend.
The Wildcats are one of five Big 12 schools in the AP rankings. Oklahoma moved down after winning, to No. 5. West Virginia moved up to a tie at No. 9 with South Carolina. Also from the Big 12 in the poll were Texas at No. 17, Oklahoma State at No. 18 and TCU at No. 20 and Kansas State.
Head coach Bill Snyder and the Wildcats get another out-of-conference test Saturday at 11 a.m. CT when they host unranked Miami (Fla.)
The Missouri Tigers received seven votes, well shy of the top 25. They begin the SEC era on Saturday against Georgia.
