Collin Klein says Iowa State presents 'tough road test'

While Kansas State has a huge road showdown with West Virginia in two weeks, the Wildcats know they can't afford to look over a tough Cyclones team this Saturday.

It's hard for Kansas State fans not to circle the game at West Virginia in two weeks on their calendar, a game between two top 10 teams which could eventually decide the Big 12 championship.

However, if they don't take care of business on the road against Iowa State this Saturday, it will all be for naught.

As Collin Klein said in his weekly press conference with the media on Wednesday, the Wildcats know what type of problems the Cyclones will pose in Ames:

"I think it is going to be a tough road test. I know Coach Snyder talks about it all the time about keeping the game in between the white lines, and we know that they are going to play extremely hard, play disciplined and play well. We just have to be prepared to execute and play hard at a high level for four quarters."

Under Paul Rhoads, Iowa State has made a living stunning higher-ranked Big 12 foes at home, most notably Oklahoma State in 2011, when the Cyclones knocked the Cowboys out of the national title picture with a dramatic 37-31 2OT victory.

And while they haven't gotten much publicity in 2012, Iowa State has a 4-1 record and two road wins over BCS opponents -- Iowa and TCU.
