On Saturday night Mizzou DT Jimmy Burge was pulled over by the police.
Burge, 21, was pulled over by Columbia police at 11:45 p.m. Saturday after making an illegal left turn. Police reported they found an open can of beer in the truck Burge was driving.
A blood alcohol test at the police office showed Burge was under the legal limit but he was cited for the illegal turn and for drinking an intoxicant while operating a vehicle, both misdemeanors.
That resulted in Mizzou head coach Gary Pinkel announcing that Burge had been suspended indefinitely.
Burge is a reseve defensive tackle.
