QB Blaine Gabbert's Hip Pointer Will Be Painful

I can't say that I've ever experienced a hip pointer. I suppose that's a good thing.

Mizzou QB Blaine Gabbert can't say the same thing. He exited Saturday night's game against Colorado with a hip pointer. Researching the injury a little bit, the common word is: pain. And lots of it.

Here's what the FSN announcers said on the broadcast;

A hip pointer is gonna be -- and he's not going to want to hear this after dealing with pain last year -- but it's, quite simply, you have to deal with pain. I'm sure he'll play next week but it'll be wrapped, it'll have extra padding and you'll just have to grin and bear it. As a quarterback, Blaine Gabbert will have to get back onto the football field to keep rolling in the fashino they are, now 5-0, entering College Station, a very tough place to play.

Some recent examples would suggest it won't cost Gabbert any games. After last year, playing through an ankle injury, I imagine he'll play if it's at all possible. He's shown he's tough so I think a lot of people would expect him to return.
