More and more college football bowl projections are coming out and since we're so far into the season many of them are likely pretty accurate. Things can still change but we're expecting Mizzou to finish third or fourth in the Big 12. Nebraska and Oklahoma State are at the top of the Big 12 following by the Missouri Tigers (4-2), Texas A&M Aggies (4-2) and Oklahoma Sooners (4-2). Mizzou has the head-to-head in both of those games. Kansas State is 3-4 in the Big 12 and looks to be finishing around seventh in the Big 12.
The most common bowl projections I'm seeing for Mizzou involve the Alama Bowl and Insight Bowl since they're going to finish third or fourth in the Big 12. Kansas State is getting projections to the New Era Pinstripe Bowl as the Big 12 projected seventh team.
Here are a few Bowl projections for Missouri and Kansas State:
New Era Pinstripe Bowl: Syracuse vs. Kansas State
Alamo Bowl: Arizona vs. Missouri
Alamo: Missouri vs. Stanford
Pinstripe: Kansas State vs. Syracuse
New Era Pinstripe Bowl: Syracuse vs. Kansas State
Insight Bowl: Michigan vs. Missouri
A Missouri loss would knock them down to the Holiday or even Texas bowl so they'll have to win out against Iowa State and Kansas. These bowls are a far cry from Mizzou's BCS talk earlier in the year when they started 7-0, or even the Cotton Bowl after losing to Nebraska a few weeks ago.
Nebraska appears on their way to a matchup with Oklahoma State for the right to rep the Big 12 in a BCS bowl. Nebraska, in my opinion, would win that matchup and be the best Big 12 rep in the Fiesta Bowl.
There's only a few more weeks until we find out...
