Missouri Tigers Hold Off Wyoming Cowboys For 72-62 Victory In Cancun Challenge

The Missouri Tigers hopped out to a big lead over the Wyoming Cowboys on Tuesday night at the Cancun Challenge but held off a Wyoming comeback to preserve the 72-62 victory. Mizzou now moves to the finals against LaSalle on Wednesday night. I don't know about you but I'm expecting the Tigers to finish this thing off tomorrow night.

Mizzou's guards, Michael Dixon and Kim English, combined for 28 points and 12 rebounds while Laurence Bowers added 12 points and five rebounds. I'm really starting to like Ricardo Ratliffe. He's a big boost for Mizzou and was on Tuesday night with eight points and nine boards.

Mizzou has now played a tight game against Western Illinois, a blowout against North Florida and a solid victory over Wyoming. The Tigers led 35-20 at the end of the first half but Wyoming outscored them 42-37 in the second half. Missouri shot the ball really well in two areas: 41 percent on three-pointers and 83 percent on free throws. Wyoming shot 18 percent and 63 percent in those same categories. There's your 10 points.
