Missouri Tigers Vs. Kansas Jayhawks: If James Sims Runs, KU Has A Shot

The Kansas Jayhawks are huge underdogs against the Missouri Tigers this weekend in the 2010 edition of the Border War. Vegas has pegged the Jayhawks as 25 point 'dogs against Mizzou so clearly KU is going to be looking for every advantage they can.

One of those advantages is James Sims and it's a pretty clear one. If Sims rushes for more than 100 yards, KU wins. Simple, right? Well, that's the way it's gone all year for KU. Via KC Star:

"As we have looked back at our last 11 games that we’ve played, the one common denominator is in the three games we’ve won, James Sims has had over 100 yards in all three of those games," Gill said. "So that’s something that we’ve seen that has pushed us forward to get W’s, so we’ll see if we can get that done."
Indeed, Sims has rushed for over 100 yards three times this season and all three of those games make up KU's victories for the year. Unfortunately for Kansas, Mizzou's defense has been pretty solid all year so getting 100 yards on the ground from Sims won't be the easiest thing in the world.
