The Missouri Tigers will face the Georgetown Hoyas on Tuesday night at the Sprint Center in Kansas City. This is an excellent test for both teams to figure out who they are before getting too deep into the season. The Tigers are ranked 9th in the country while Georgetown comes in at No. 16.
There are plenty of things to look for in this game but this will be the first major test for both teams. For Mizzou, they'll be able to figure out if they really are a top 10 team. For Georgetown, it will be the next in-line of what has been a difficult early schedule.
Eamonn Brennan of ESPN.com has a few things to look for:
There are stylistic things to look for here: Mike Anderson's team is one of the runningest teams in college hoops; John Thompson III's is one of the most methodical. There's also the matter of home vs. neutral court advantage. You can expect Missouri to have a rather large turnout at the Sprint Center in Kansas City, perhaps rivaling Kansas State's march of the purple people eaters at the CBE Classic last week.
I remember the Kansas State Wildcats dominated the crowd at the CBE Classic in the Sprint Center earlier this year. They had a great showing. We'll see if Mizzou fans can do the same. That would definitely be an advantage.
