The Missouri Tigers fell to the Texas Tech Red Raiders Saturday night in Lubbock, Texas. Mizzou's offense couldn't do much after two big touchdown runs to start the game. QB Blaine Gabbert had a miserable evening and Texas Tech was able to move the ball up and down the field with ease for about two quarters.
The game came down to a Mizzou fourth down resulting in Gabbert throwing another incompletion.
QB Blaine Gabbert had a miserable evening completing 12-of-30 passes for 95 yards. He had no touchdowns and no interceptions. Kendial Lawrence was the leading rusher at 96 yards with Marcus Murphy right behind him at 74 yards. Murphy started the game with a 69-yard touchdown run and Lawrence followed with a 71-yard touchdown run.
Texas Tech QB Taylor Potts had three touchdown passes to one interception.
Mizzou is now 3-2 in the Big 12 behind 4-1 Nebraska. The Huskers hold the tiebreaker there. That's another reason why this loss hurt so much. The Big 12 is pretty much gone for Mizzou.
