It will be an excellent Big Monday for fans of college basketball in the Kansas City area. On Monday afternoon we've got the Missouri Tigers hosting the Kansas State Wildcats and by Monday evening it's the Kansas Jayhawks traveling to Waco, Texas to take on Baylor. Both games will be televised on ESPN.
Kansas State vs. Missouri: The Wildcats travel to Columbia to face the Tigers at Mizzou Arena. Two days ago we thought Kansas State was melting down after two consecutive losses and the announcement that Freddy Asprilla was leaving the program. Then they went out and dominated Texas Tech relieving some of that tension. Mizzou has now lost two of three games as well, dropping one against Colorado last week and then losing in overtime against Texas A&M. Missouri is a six point favorite.
Kansas vs. Baylor: The Jayhawks have a lot of work to do entering this game -- and they're still undefeated. They've had three consecutive games that were a little closer than maybe they should have been but KU found a way to pull it out. They have a big test against Baylor. Does KU rebound after a few tough games or were those close games a sign of things to come against an opponent like Baylor? Kansas is a four point favorite.
It should be a lot of fun watching these games on ESPN. The Missouri game is on at 4:30 p.m. (CT) while the Jayhawks play at 8:30 p.m. (CT).
