The Missouri Tigers will host the Kansas State Wildcats on Monday afternoon as part of ESPN's Big Monday schedule. The Tigers and Wildcats will tip-off at 4:30 p.m. (CT) at Mizzou Arena in a game that has Mizzou as a slight favorite.
SB Nation's Big 12 Hoops blog gives us a run down of where the Tigers stand entering this game.
Missouri enters in coming off an exhausting overtime loss on the road at Texas A&M. Even though the Tigers are usually the team in better shape this game could be interesting to see if they aren't the team who is drained towards the end. With the margin of victory for K-State over Texas Tech, Frank Martin was able to rest his guys with the quick turnaround upcoming.
That's an interesting point on the conditioning because the Tigers just played an overtime game on Saturday. They are known for their ability to run the court and wear other teams down so they could be at a disadvantage if they're unable to do that.
Mizzou has lost two of their last three games and, while they're not at the same stage as K-State who is struggling a little more, they do need to get back on track. Mizzou is 15-3 on the season but just 1-2 in Big 12 Conference play.
