The Missouri Tigers announced this week they were on the verge of selling out the rest of their home schedule. Kansas Jayhawks fans may laugh at making an announcement about sellouts because Allen Fieldhouse has an easier time packing the house but Mizzou's season is starting to create some more awareness about the team after having trouble putting butts in the seats early on.
Missouri head coach Mike Anderson said he wants it packed to the brim every time.
"I'm greedy. I want it like that all the time," he said. "I think that's how it should be. I think when you're creating a program and the brand and you want to make this arena be one of the toughest venues around the country, I think it's important for our fans to show up and show out. I always say, once you come, you will not be disappointed. As a matter of fact, you'll come back for even more."
Basketball is one of the most important home court advantages in all of sports so Mizzou fans can have a real affect on the team by going to the games, as KU fans have shown.
