Dorial Green-Beckham Joining Missouri Tigers Today For Homecoming

It's hard to say whether or not Gary Pinkel's current struggles at Mizzou will have any bearing on Green-Beckham's decision, but a win today would be nice for Homecoming and for the chances to sign the top recruit in their backyard.

The recruiting world is alert with the buzz that top-rated wide receiver recruit (and No. 1 recruit overall on sevearl lists) Dorial Green-Beckham is spending some unofficial time with the Missouri Tigers today. The wideout from Springfield, Missouri has a Who's Who list of recruiters hoping to reel him in. Michigan and Notre Dame are calling from the north, USC from the West, Miami and Alabama from the South and every great heartland school also has him on their radar.

But it helps that he's a Springfield native and the Tigers have had him close for some time now. And they should since he would give James Franklin the kind of target that most quarterbacks can only dream of. He passed the 5,000 yard mark in his career earlier this season and it's clear that he's a man among boys amid the high school ranks. There will certainly be an adjustment to the Big 12 (or SEC depending on where Missouri plays), but Green-Beckham makes the kind of impact that will be felt even as a freshman.
