James Franklin Shows Off For Missouri Fans With Five Touchdowns Against Iowa State

Five touchdowns is a great way to silence your critics. So is a 52-17 win. Both the Missouri Tigers and starting quarterback James Franklin figured out a way to silence some of their critics on a beautiful Homecoming Saturday when high impact recruit Dorial Green-Beckham was also on hand on an unofficial visit. With their dominant victory over Iowa State, it was a near perfect day for Mizzou fans and alum.

As for James Franklin, the day completely belonged to him. Through the air, Franklin went 20 for 28 for 289 yards and three touchdowns. He also had another 84 yards on the ground on 11 carries for another two touchdowns. The five touchdown performance showcases both ways that Franklin’s touch and athleticism can help the Tigers.

Other highlights include Henry Josey’s 129 yards and a touchdown on the day. Tight end Michael Egnew also had 105 yards and a touchdown reception. Missouri moves to 3-3 on the season and earns their first Big 12 win in the process. Iowa State also moves to 3-3, but remains 0-3 in conference play.
