The world of Twitter is abuzz with unsubstantiated rumors, but clearly something became wrong with Justin Blackmon during today’s game against the Missouri Tigers. The talented Oklahoma State receiver left the game with “concussion-like symptoms” according to reports and was without his helmet for the entire second half of the game. It’s unclear the extent of the injury or what it might mean next week.
Adam Kemp reports that, “WR Justin Blackmon had concussion-like symptoms and was held out of the second half against Missouri. Blackmon had eight catches for 54 yards and a TD in the first half but spent the second half standing on the sideline without a helmet and a towel around his neck.”
However, that hasn’t stopped Sports Insights from saying that he’s already questionable for the team’s next game at home against Baylor. With a high scoring attack that features Robert Griffin III at quarterback, OSU is going to need to match the up-tempo game of Baylor and that makes Blackmon key heading in. We’ll keep you posted with anything that we hear.
