Missouri's Henry Josey Becoming One Of Top Running Backs In Country

There was reason to believe that Josey would be a productive back, but nothing could have prepped the team for this. So while the Tigers are struggling at 1-3 in the conference and 3-4 overall, it's clear Josey is having a hell of a year.

The Missouri Tigers might be having a disappointing season overall, and certainly the most interest in the school has to do with which conference will turn into their permanent home. It's unfortunate, then, that all of this attention is overshadowing the incredible season that Henry Josey is having.

The 5-10 sophomore running back currently leads the Big 12 in rushing and he's ninth in the nation overall. He's rushed 99 times for 855 yards and 6 touchdowns. That places him with an 8.6 yards/carry average, second in the entire nation right behind LaMichael James of Oregon at 9.0. Given that James was considered a Heisman favorite coming into the year, that's some fine company for Josey.
