Kansas State Vs. Missouri: Tigers Trail Wildcats 10-3, At The Half

The Missouri Tigers were only able to manage three points in the first half against the Kansas St. Wildcats and trail 10-3. On MIssouri's first play from scrimmage quarterback James Franklin was intercepted by Ty Zimmerman who returned the ball 15 yards to the Missouri 21 yard line. Kansas State used the short field to rush the ball on each of their six plays and scored the only touchdown of the half on a two-yard score by Collin Klein.

Kansas State also went onto extend their lead to 10 points by forcing a three-and-out against Missouri to then have a 12-play 51 yard drive to kick a 20-yard field goal.

The Missouri offense was stagnent in the first quarter as they punted the ball on their next two possessions and accumulated zero yards., but the second quarter started off much better for MIssouri as they went 12 plays for 58 yards to get their first points on the day on a Grant Ressel 32 yard field goal. Missouri had a chance to cut into Kansas State's lead by Ressel missed a 43 yard field goal to end the half.

Neither teams offense did all that much in the first half. Missouri quarterback James Franklin is 7-of-14 for 88 yards with an interception, and on the Kansas State side Collin Klein is accurate at 7-of-9 but has only 49 passing yards but he does have 29 rushing yards with one rushing touchdown.

Kansas State receives the ball to start the third quarter.
