Missouri seeks its third straight win of the Frank Haith era when it takes on Niagara as part of the CBE Classic regional round. Regardless of the outcome, the Tigers will advance to the semifinals against Notre Dame in Kansas City next week. Missouri defeated Mercer 81-63 in the first CBE Classic game.
Phil Pressey scored 22 points in the victory over Mercer. The Tigers may have backed off of former coach Mike Anderson's frantic pressure defense but they still forced Mercer into 20 turnovers in the game.
Niagara is 1-0 on the season after erasing a 20 point first half deficit to win in overtime against Central Connecticut State. The Purple Eagles are an inexperienced bunch with their top six scorers from the opener all being either freshman or sophomores.
Game Date, time: Thursday, November 17
Location: Mizzou Arena (CBE Classic Regional Rounds)
TV Channel/Streaming: MSN/ESPN 3
