There's no doubt that the San Francisco 49ers are winning for many reasons -- from a new head coach who knows what he's doing to a rejuvenated Frank Gore to an efficient Alex Smith to a punishing defense. But one of the aspects of the team that has to have opposing offenses frustrated is the pass rushing skills of the 49ers first round draft pick Aldon Smith.
The former Missouri Tiger has been a tremendous force on the outside and it was the same story again in yesterday's win over the Arizona Cardinals. Smith had yet another sack on the day as well as a couple of quarterback hits and a pass defense. That gives him 7.5 sacks officially on the year and it seems that reaching double digit sacks in his rookie year is a lock.
Most NFL teams would kill to have a young dynamic pass rusher and yet so few can boast such a commodity. Here the 49ers have one of the best young impact players in the NFL and it's clear that Aldon Smith is going to terrorize defenses for years to come.
