Gary Pinkel Arrest: Missouri Coach To Hold Press Conference Monday Afternoon

Suspended Missouri head football coach Gary Pinkel will hold a 1:30 p.m. CT press conference at his lawyer's office in Columbia, according to Dave Matter of the Columbia Daily Tribune. Pinkel is still serving a one week suspension from all coaching dutes at Missouri following his arrest last week for a DWI.

Matter notes that Pinkel is holding the press conference at his lawyer's office because he's barred from the Missouri football facilities until Thanksgiving Day. The next scheduled media opportunity would be Friday before the Tigers' game against Kansas at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City.

Without Pinkel the Tigers rallied from a 14-0 deficit early to beat Texas Tech on Senior Day Saturday, 31-27. The win gives the Tigers bowl eligibility heading into the Border War rivalry with the Jayhawks. While Pinkel's arrest looms over the Tiger program, the Jayhawks will play Saturday with the job security of head coach Turner Gill likely at stake.
