Missouri Vs. California Score: Tigers Carry 45-26 Lead Into Halftime Of CBE Classic Final

Missouri is off to a good start under new coach Frank Haith and are leading California 45-26 at halftime of the CBE Classic final. Once again the Tigers' pressure defense has led to turnovers that Missouri has been able to turn into high percentage opportunities at the other end. California turned the ball over 13 times in the first half while Missouri shot 54 percent from the field.

Steve Moore leads the way for the Tigers with 10 points off the bench. Kim English tossed in eight points while Matt Pressey and Marcus Denmon finished with six each in the first half.

California's deficit would likely have been greater if not for the 20-11 rebounding margin and the eight offensive rebounds by the Bears in the first half. Even with their good work on the glass, the Bears have had no answer for Missouri's defense with Jorge Gutierrez and Harper Kamp both struggling from the field. Gutierrez finished with seven points in the first half but is just 2-7 from the field. Kamp has six points and is also just 2-7 shooting the ball.
