After a dominating 81-71 win over Big East power Villanova in New York City, the undefeated Missouri Tigers continue to climb up the polls, winding up at No. 8 in the coaches poll and No. 10 in the AP poll this week.
The Kansas Jayhawks, meanwhile, stopped their slide down the polls with a huge win over previously undefeated Ohio State on Saturday, although the Buckeyes did not have star forward Jared Sullinger in the game. The 7-2 Jayhawks are now No. 12 in both polls.
The Big 12 has two other ranked teams in this week's polls -- the undefeated Baylor Bears, No. 7 in the coaches and No. 6 in the AP, and the 8-1 Texas A&M Aggies, at No. 22 in both.
Missouri's schedule gets easier, as they host Kennesaw State and William & Mary before a big home date against long-time rival Illinois on Dec. 22.
Kansas, meanwhile, does not play again until a Dec. 19 home date against Davidson, a rematch of their memorable 2008 Elite Eight game.
