The No. 13 ranked Missouri Tigers (6-0) will host Northwestern State (4-3) Friday night at Mizzou Arena, where the Tigers look to improve to 7-0 for the first time in five seasons under new coach Frank Haith. The Tigers have made one of the more noticeable moves up in the polls on this early college basketball season, starting the year at No. 25 and advancing thanks to a 39-point win over then-ranked (20/18) as well as a win over Notre Dame to capture the BCE Classic title in Kansas City last week.
Missouri is shooting impressively well so far, hitting 52 percent from the floor and 43.3 percent from beyond the arc, as well as a 76.9 percent from the free throw line. Three Tigers are ranked in the Big 12's top six shooters - senior Ricardo Ratcliffe leads the league (70.2 percent), followed by senior Kim English (60.7 percent) at third and senior Marcus Denmon (51.4 percent) at sixth.
After the Demons, Missouri will head to New York City for the Jimmy V Classic at Madison Square Garden on December 6 against Villanova.
