Missouri Football Recruiting: Cornerback Commit Will Hines Still Chased By TCU, Arkansas

Here's a rundown on where Missouri stands in the current recruiting period.

"Ain't no thing without a ring," a friend told me once in college when I told him the girl he was chasing was already dating someone seriously. While that's a low-class maneuver, in the game of college football recruiting, it's common to continue to chase a prospect far after the kid has verbally committed. Thus, it's not surprising to hear that even though Gary Pinkel of Missouri has a commit from cornerback Will Hines, the three star recruit is still visiting other schools and hearing from them as well. TCU and Arkansas are two in particular.

"I didn’t go, as things changed at the last minute," Hines said. "But I will visit them in January (Jan. 13) and TCU (Jan. 20). Those two schools have really been recruiting me hard and showing a lot of interest. I am still committed to Missouri, but I want to make these two visits just to make sure. I want to get out there, meet the coaches, see the campuses, and meet the people."

The three star recruit remains committed and says he still likes Missouri and that the move to the SEC offers great visibility.
