Missouri Football Recruiting: Tigers Might Lose Dorial Green-Beckham To Texas Longhorns

As the recruiting lists are being cemented and entire classes are able to be analyzed, it’s clear that Gary Pinkel’s work at Missouri is suffering for some reason. Whether it’s the team’s lack of success this year or the move to the SEC, the team has lost some key recruits and might just lose their best prospect yet in wide receiver Dorial Green-Beckham. Other schools are in close on DGB and it’s clear that Texas might now be the favorite.

As for the rest of the class, David Ubben writes that Missouri currently has the seventh best recruiting class in the Big 12. “Missouri is chasing DGB too, but the story this season has been class attrition for the Tigers. They were in the top 20 but lost ESPNU 150 commit Evan Boehm, who decommitted. The Tigers fell out of the top 25 and fell behind Oklahoma State and Baylor. Running back Jonathan Williams took his four stars to Arkansas and OT Germain Ifedi moved to fellow future SEC member Texas A&M. Mauk, Hopkins and Newsom are the only remaining four-star recruits in the class.”
