The Missouri Tigers hold a six point lead at halftime of Saturday's game against the Oklahoma Sooners. The Tigers entered the game as 15-point favorites so Oklahoma's been able to stick around (so far).
Missouri's been impressive in spurts so far today with a 14-0 and 10-0 run but somehow find themselves ahead just 37-31 at halftime. Oklahoma grabbed a quick seven point lead early in the game.
Missouri's starting lineup included Phil Pressey, Marcus Denmon, Ricardo Ratliffe, Laurence Bowers and Kim English. Bowers is the early MVP hitting on 3-of-6 shots for seven points as well as six boards, three of them offensive. Justin Safford is also having a good game off the bench with seven points and four boards in the first half.
Oklahoma's Steven Pledger and Cameron Clark have combined for 18 of the Sooners' 31 points.
I gotta think over the course of 40 minutes Missouri can handle Oklahoma. If they can become a little more consistent offensively this shouldn't be a problem for them.
