Missouri Tigers guard Marcus Denmon had a scary moment in Saturday's 84-61 victory over the Oklahoma Sooners. Denmon was elbowed in the face by forward Laurence Bowers and it looked ugly. Denmon walked away with a bloody face and didn't return to the game.
The early words is that he'll be OK. He received several stitches under his eye and isn't expected to miss any games. That's good news for Mizzou who probably didn't need their only player on the Naismisth midseason watch list to go down with an injury.
The injury did look bad though and you wonder if it'll affect him at all moving forward.
Missouri beat Oklahoma, 84-61, after Denmon exited the game with about 18 minutes remaining. He ended with nine points on 3-of-5 shooting and a pair of rebounds.
Up next for Missouri is Texas Tech, who will visit Columbia on Tuesday.
