Marcus Denmon Questionable For Missouri Vs. Texas Tech

The Missouri Tigers saw a scary moment last Saturday when an elbow caught guard Marcus Denmon in the face. The scene was ugly as Denmon rose up from the floor with a cut under his eye and blood streaming down his face. After the game, Denmon received stitches and Missouri head coach Mike Anderson said he should be good to go.

The Tigers host Texas Tech on Tuesday night and it's still not completely clear if Denmon will play, though most are expecting him to. Denmon participated in Mizzou's shoot-around on Sunday, one day after the injury, but stayed out of contact drills during practice on Monday.

Obviously Denmon's an important piece of the pie for Mizzou but will they need him against Texas Tech? Via Rock M Nation on Tuesday night's game:

Missouri is, to put it bluntly, a better team than Texas Tech.  They shoot better, they defend better, they rebound better, they're much deeper, and they're in their home gym.  If Mizzou shows up ready to play and doesn't fall into a lapse like Texas did against Tech, they will win.

The Tigers are a 17 point favorite in this game so maybe they don't need him.
