Junior guard Marcus Denmon scored 25 points and forward Ricardo Ratliffe added his fourth double-double of the season as Missouri defeated Iowa State, 76-70, at Hilton Coliseum on Saturday.
Though the road win is Mizzou's first of the conference season, the "Mizzou struggles on the road" narrative may not be done quite yet. The Tigers repeatedly unloaded chambers into their own feet, turning the ball over 16 times and making a number of small errors down the stretch.
With the win, Missouri improved to 21-6 on the season and 7-5 in Big 12 play. The Tigers face Baylor at Mizzou Arena at 8 p.m. Wednesday.
