2-of-19. Missouri started the game 2-of-19 from the field. As you can guess, that lead to a big deficit for the Tigers, the country's 9th ranked offense. At halftime, they're trailing the Texas A&M, 46-33, in quarterfinals of the Big 12 tournament. Here are a few notes on the first half:
-Texas A&M is dominating the boards. Mizzou, for some reason, comes up big against some of the conference's best rebounding teams and then at other times their bigs are invisible. Today is the latter. Laurence Bowers and Ricardo Ratliffe have combined for three rebounds.
-Marcus Denmon a three-pointer with about two and a half minutes remaining which marked Mizzou's first three-pointer of the game. They were 0-for-5 before that.
-Texas A&M's David Loubeau is averaging 11.6 points per game this year. He has missed one shot today en route to 16 first half points. B.J. Holmes is right behind him with 14 points.
-Missouri's saving grace: free throws. They're 16-of-19 in the half.
-Michael Dixon left the game with about 46 seconds remaining grabbing what appeared to be his left shoulder.
-Missouri put up a couple of buckets in a row to make it 27-17 with about five minutes left in the first half. I marked that down because I thought it was a turning point for Mizzou. Wrong -- it was 34-19 a few minutes later.
-And a few minutes after that 34-19 score, Mizzou closed the gap to within 10 at 43-33. The half ended with Texas A&M up 46-33.
