2011 NFL Draft: Aldon Smith Workouts Include Patriots, Broncos, Ravens, Dolphins, Falcons

Missouri Tigers DE Aldon Smith is setting up workout list and there are both 3-4 and 4-3 teams involved. We already knew he was visiting the St. Louis Rams and Kansas City Chiefs, as well as about eight other teams, according to a Columbia Daily Tribune report last week.

Eric Blumberg of KOMU Sports reports on a few of the other teams including Baltimore Ravens, New England Patriots, Denver Broncos, Miami Dolphins and Atlanta Falcons.

There are a lot of interesting names on that list. The Patriots obviously are the most interesting. They're reportedly looking at a pass rusher and Smith could fill that need. The Ravens are one of the league's elite defenses so that would be another terrific fit for him. I'm not sure how the Broncos, who hold the second pick, would get Smith. I don't see him falling to the second round so the Broncos would likely have to trade down. The Falcons already have one of Smith's former teammates in LB Sean Weatherspoon.

The Rams are picking 14th so that may be the highest Smith goes, although NFL Network's Michael Lombardi has been high on Smith and says San Francisco at No. 7 is a possibility.
