It has yet to be formally announced by either school but by all indications Mike Anderson is leaving the Missouri Tigers to become the new head coach of the Arkansas Razorbacks. Arkansas reports say it's a done deal -- as in he's signed his contract.
The KC Star reported on Wednesday afternoon that two players had said they had not been told by Anderson that he's leaving. Jeff Goodman of FOXSports.com reports Missouri will hold a team meeting at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday evening at which point Anderson will announce he's leaving.
Now, we're waiting on the official announcement from both schools. Reports say we could be hearing the official word from Arkansas as early as Wednesday evening. Presumably a press conference announcing Anderson as the new Razorbacks head coach would follow, maybe as soon as Thursday.
So we're nearly done with one of the wilder stories I remember following. On an hourly basis over the last week, it seemed something was changing leaving you with uncertainty. In that respect, I'm glad it's over.
