Missouri Board Of Curators Will 'Have A Lot Of Questions' On Frank Haith

It's being widely reported that the Missouri Tigers will hire Miami head coach Frank Haith. We also noted that the deal isn't done...yet. It sure sounds like it will happen but before the deal is done the Missouri Board of Curators needs to approve the contract. They are meeting on Monday night where Mizzou AD Mike Alden will explain the rationale behind looking at Haith.

A member of the board, David Wasinger, who hadn't heard about Haith until Monday morning, has told the St. Louis Post Dispatch that the board will have a lot of questions on Haith. He also said he was aware of the "disappointment and disapproval" being expressed about Haith right now.

That makes you wonder if the board approving the contract is a slam dunk. It's being widely reported as if it is but the Post Dispatch report has us slightly tapping the brakes.

According to Mike DeArmond of the KC Star, Mizzou does not have a press conference scheduled for Monday.

Considering the way stories around Mizzou have gone lately, it would almost be fitting if Haith backed out, and then re-committed to Mizzou.
