The lone representative from Missouri, Kansas or Kansas State playing in this week's Senior Bowl is also one of the top tight ends in the country, so at the very least he should see some decent playing time for the North roster. In this year's Senior Bowl, Michael Egnew is among the top pass catchers that scouts and general managers will be checking out as the Missouri tight end hopes to catch on with a team high in the upcoming 2012 NFL Draft.
Egnew caught 50 passes for Missouri this year for 523 receiving yards and 3 touchdowns. He ended his Tigers career with 147 catches and 8 touchdowns and he's been named by numerous analysts as one of the top tight ends available. Given the success of Aaron Hernandez and Rob Gronkowski for the Patriots who are now in the Super Bowl, other teams are likely to grab for more playmakers at the position than normal.
That bodes well for Egnew's draft stock and a solid Senior Bowl week could go far for Egnew.
