Being in the SEC has not been easy for the Missouri Tigers so far. Coming off of their bye week, the Tigers have a 3-4 record on the season and an 0-4 conference record. Facing off against Georgia, South Carolina, Vanderbilt and Alabama was a daunting start to the conference schedule, but they'll finally play a team that is less than stellar on Saturday, when they host Kentucky for homecoming.
Kentucky will enter Saturday with a lowly 1-7 record and no wins in the SEC. Their only win came in the second week of the season, when they defeated Kent State, 47-14. Since that game, they have been outscored 213-93 by the six opponents they faced. Missouri won't get many better opportunities to finally get their first SEC win than against the weak Kentucky defense, especially on homecoming.
Saturday's game will be the first time the Tigers have played the Wildcats since 1968, and only the third time the two schools have ever played. Kentucky won both prior matches between the two schools.
