CBS Sports released its preseason All-America first team with Missouri Tigers point guard Phil Pressey taking the top spot at his position.

Jeff Goodman and Gary Parrish write that Pressey, a 5'11 junior, is the "ultimate point guard in terms of getting his teammates easy, open looks." Pressey was Goodman's choice for the top point guard, and made the team over Parrish's pick, Michigan's Trey Burke.

"Pressey is a capable scorer, but that's not where he's a difference-maker. He has a chance to lead the nation in assists as he applies pressure to opposing defenses -- especially in the open court -- with his speed."

Pressey made the first team along with Indiana's Cody Zeller -- who was selected as the preseason National Player of the Year -- UCLA freshman Shabazz Muhammad, Creighton forward Doug McDermott and Murray State guard Isaiah Canaan. The second team is comprised of Burke, Mike Moser, Tony Mitchell, Nerlens Noel and Jamaal Franklin.
