Missouri vs. Tennessee score update: Tigers trail Volunteers at halftime, 21-7

The Tennessee Volunteers have jumped out to a 21-7 halftime lead over the Missouri Tigers at Neyland Stadium in Knoxville, Tenn. Vols' quarterback Tyler Bray was outstanding in the opening half, completing 21-of-26 passes for 257 yards and a touchdown.

Aside from Jimmie Hunt's 87-yard kickoff return for a touchdown to get Mizzou on the board immediately after Tennessee opened the scoring on a 5-yard touchdown run by Cordarrelle Patterson, not much went right for the Tigers in the first half. Mizzou never got anything going on offense, as quarterback James Franklin was just 2-of-8 for 18 yards and was picked off once.

Meanwhile, Tennessee had both aspects of its offense rolling throughout the opening half. Bray and Patterson combined to throw for 285 yards, while the Vols also racked up 98 yards on the ground in outgaining Missouri, 383 total yards to 64.

Tennessee had two receivers eclipse the century mark, as Justin Hunter caught six passes for 116 yards, and Mychal Rivera grabbed eight balls for 100 yards and a score. Missouri running back Kendial Lawrence accounted for nearly half of his team's offensive production in the half, rushing seven times for 31 yards.
