Missouri vs. Florida score update: Tigers lead Gators by a touchdown at halftime

The Missouri Tigers hold a 7-0 lead over the Florida Gators at halftime from Ben Hill Griffin Stadium in Gainesville, Fla.

Mizzou running back Kendial Lawrence accounted for the only scoring of the half, punching it in from a yard out at the 6:10 mark in the second quarter. The short touchdown run capped off a quick six-play, 27-yard drive that followed a fumble by Florida running back Mike Gillislee. The Tigers had a potentially costly turnover of their own, as quarterback James Franklin was picked off inside Mizzou's own territory early in the second quarter. Fortunately for the Tigers, Florida's ensuing field goal attempt was blocked.

The Tigers had a shot to add more points right before halftime, having great starting field position and more than three minutes remaining on the clock. However, Mizzou's offense stalled and the clock ran out after a delay of game penalty.

Neither offense did much in the half, but Missouri had the slight advantage in yardage in outgaining the Gators, 143 total yards to 111.
