Missouri guard Maddie Stock earned 22 points in just 16 minutes of playing time on Sunday and was subsequently named the Southeastern Conference's Co-Freshman of the Week on Monday. Stock split the honor with Sherise Williams of Mississippi State.
Stock, 19, finished in a tie with Bri Kulas for the team lead in points for the game, as the Tigers dominated the Southern Illinois Salukis, 110-47. Stock made six-of-seven 3-point attempts and scored 16-consecutive points for Missouri in the second half of their win.
The Tigers improved to 8-0 at home and 9-2 overall with the victory, but have just three non-conference games remaining on the schedule before SEC play begins with a road game against the Georgia Bulldogs on Jan. 3. Before that, Missouri has upcoming home games against Morgan State and Murray State on Tuesday and Thursday, respectively.
Williams scored 21 points for Mississippi State against Florida A&M on Saturday, to share the honor.
