Missouri vs. Tennessee State: Game time, TV schedule and more

The Missouri Tigers will face the Tennessee State Tigers on Saturday in Mizzou Arena.

USA TODAY Sports

The Missouri Tigers should pick up another win on Saturday as they welcome the Tennessee State Tigers into Mizzou Arena.

Tennessee State plays in the Ohio Valley Conference, and it is 4-5 on the season, with loses to the BYU Cougars, San Diego St. Aztecs and the Minnesota Golden Gophers. CBSSports.com considered Tennessee a sleeper team in the Ohio Valley this season, since it returns all five starters and added three transfers.

The team is lead by two senior forwards, Robert Covington and Kellen Thornton. Covington averages 16.3 points-per-game, while Thorton averages 15.6 points. Both players average 7.4 rebounds-per-game, and the pair will challenge Missouri on the offensive glass.

Junior guard Patrick Miller leads the team's backcourt with 11 points and six assists per game. Miller is also active on the defensive end, averaging 2.6 steals per game.

The two teams will tip off at 2 p.m. CT on Saturday, with coverage on your local Missouri Sports Network affiliate.
