Dorial Green-Beckham, the No. 1 overall rated recruit in the country according to Rivals, has committed to Missouri, announcing the news live on ESPNU on National Signing Day 2012. Green-Beckham, who played for Hillcrest High School in Springfield, Missouri, chose the Tigers over Arkansas, Texas, Oklahoma and Alabama.
Green-Beckham has easily been this year's most publicized recruit, and his decision to commit to Missouri has been followed as a three-school race between the Tigers, Arkansas and Texas, and then ultimately a dead heat between Mizzou and the Razorbacks.
Green-Beckham, a 6-foot-6, 220 lb. wide out, is rated as the No. 1 overall prospect in the nation and the state of Missouri, and the wide receiver position. ESPNU analyst Tom Luginbill has compared Green-Beckham to recent first round NFL Draft picks Julio Jones and A.J. Green. His addition pushes Missouri's first signing class as a SEC member as the best of Gary Pinkel's tenure with the Tigers. SB Nation college analyst and Rock M Nation blogger Bill C. has a complete breakdown on "DGB" here.
