Chase Daniel Lands 1-Year Deal With New Orleans Saints

Former Missouri quarterback Chase Daniel has found a new home in the NFL, signing a one year deal with the New Orleans Saints as reported by Adam Schefter today. It's an interesting addition for a team that has a lot to worry about with the upcoming punishment for Gregg Williams' bounty program on defense and the negotiations for Drew Brees ongoing. The team also has to worry about Carl Nicks and Marques Colston and their potential exits from the offense.

Daniel played for the Saints the last two seasons after joining the league as an undrafted free agent with the Washington Redskins in 2009. He's been the back-up quarterback for the Saints recently, and it seems he will fill that role again. Daniel was a two-time Heisman Trophy finalist while at Missouri and became their career-yardage leader while he was the Tigers quarterback.
